About Telecom: 

Telecom company is a leading multinational telecommunications provider, offering modern voice and data solutions to multi-national enterprises and communication service providers. Telecom’s international coverage combined with local, on-the-ground knowledge has helped them build best-in-class connections across the globe. Many of these are in remote, hard-to-reach areas which are also exciting growth markets across Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. Telecom’s presence covers more than 3,000 cities and 150 countries and supports a portfolio of integrated global communications solutions.

About the project:

Telecom’s success depends on the management of hundreds of local, national and international vendors. Logicea was asked to develop a Vendor Management Platform to allow Telecom’s employees to manage long-term working relationships, exchange information, perform analytics, implement transactions, and supervise day-to-day interactions with their vendors.

What is needed:

Telecom needs to redesign the Vendor Group Dashboard

A brief description of the current Dashboard:

1. Sidemenu: Five menu items and a set of filters which filters out the selected menu item “Group Dashboards”
2. Vendor Group Title and “edit” icon button which opens up a page to change the Vendor Group details
3. Informative text about the number of Vendor Entities included in the Vendor Group
4. Link to the Vendor Group website
5. Key information Widget: There are 2 tabs “ General/Services” with different type of information
6. Key Contacts Widget: There are 2 tabs “Vendor Contacts/PCCW Contacts” and the arrow button expands the contact card to see more information about the contact (email and phone numbers)
7. Performance Widget: Rating score according to the rating of the users and 4 action buttons.
8. “Operations & Marketing Documents”/”Contracts” widgets: These widgets are lists of documents. By Clicking on the document, the document downloads. By clicking on the “envelope” icon an email form pops up to send all the documents of the list.

1. at-a-glance understanding with minimal scrolling
2. show things that need immediate attention
3. suggest appropriate action
4. keep the same font type (Helvetica)
5. keep the same primary colours (#1CA7E1, #83982F)

Why do we need it:

The current UI is visually outdated and the user experience and information architecture needs improvement.
